The Circle was formed in November 1978 to encourage and improve the making of
home-made wines and beers, and to provide a forum for social discussion.
Those new to Winemaking are especially welcome; members of the club will
always be happy to taste their efforts and answer any questions about wine and beer-making.
|THE MEETINGS are held on the third Monday of each month (except December),
at the Ware Art Centre, Kibes Lane, Ware, starting at 8pm.

The majority of the meetings are on wine or beer related subjects; however, we also have meetings of more general interest.
Ware Wine and Beer circle will be giving a series of wine master classes this year, aimed at both beginners and
those who wish to improve their wine making. Non-members of WWBC, including members of other wine circles are welcome. For further
details, visit the Master Class page.
Each year, the club runs its unique Computerised Wine Drive. Members compare bottles of home-made wine and the
scores are fed into the computer. A commercial bottle is also included in the comparison. Remarkably, the commercial wine has now won
times! This has been running for over 35 years, and was featured in Amateur Winemaker Magazine in
There was also an earlier article in Amateur Winemaker regarding a wine
April 1974 from a member of Richmond Wine Circle.
